The Simplicity of True Spirituality (Mooji)
? 26th of August 2018
For many this is the beginning, but it has no end. On August 4, I was present at Satsang by Mooji, a famous Zen master. As these words flowed out of him, the Depth of it was very tangible. Awakening feels like the 'Beginning' but it has no End. It is coming Home but yet you have never been away from It.
The experience that this Satsang has given me inspired me to make this painting by Mooji. Meeting him felt like a deep recognition and confirmation of who I Truly Am and how I live now. During the painting, the energy of Mooji was (and is) very tangible, as if everything that you are not is exposed and is simply stripped away from you. On the same day that this painting was completed, it was sold and found an owner with someone who also has a special connection with Mooji.
And as if that was not beautiful enough, it became even more beautiful when I received a picture of Mooji painting a wall mural of the Christ Light. I really had no idea that he made such beautiful paintings, and also in a similar (at least for me very familiar) style & energy. Seeing this picture felt like a deep recognition and confirmation of who I am. It is and remains a grateful feeling to see what unfolds within as soon as you surrender to Life. It is actually that simple. 'Coincidentally' the Satsang of that day is called 'The Simplicity of True Spirituality' and so it Is! (Click here to see the video of this Satsang)
