Love from Mandalika
Into the Waters of Life I flow
Life is moving me into a place
Where time is endless, non-existing
Where God has no face
Into a Nothingness that is Filled with All
Enlightened, kissed by the Light
Awakened, into a Life of Delight
Old wounds are healed
Ancient wisdom renewed
Shifts are happening, my soul has found its glow
Thanks to the Waters of Life
The myth of Princess Mandalika of Lombok is the origin and reason for the Bau Nyale Festival in Lombok, Indonesia. The story goes that, to prevent war and to save her people, Princess Mandalika sacrificed herself and jumped into the sea, her spirit then incarnated into sea worms, returning to her people so they won't forget her. The Bau Nyale Festival, since the 16th century, usually begins on evening because the seaworms emerge to the sea surface at that time. People gather on the beach, seeking for the seaworms and tracing the south coast of Lombok Island.
